 | (10th February 2008) We
have made a few tweaks to the new website to make it work better, but if
you, the reader, find any links that don't work or any discrepancies, please
let us know. The Feb 'Wings' is now on line, including a report of
flying in Austria (in the snow!) |
 | (1st January 2008) Welcome
to the new look Brissle website! Although the front page has changed a
bit to reflect the new names, the website is effectively the same as before
and all the links take you to the familiar places that you're used to.
Please accept that all references to "PFA" and "Strut"
will still stand on old documents, providing a certain nostalgia to the old
days! The archive "Strutters" will still be available on
line, back to 19 something or other, as we have feedback that it would be a
shame to lose all that history. The "hover-buttons" on the
index page have caused problems with some browsers that don't have
java-script running, so we have converted them to standard links that will
work on any software. You will still encounter some as you browse the
pages; try double clicking in these cases. Have a great new year with
plenty of flying and safe landings! |
 | (6th October 2007) This month the Strut will hold
it's AGM when decisions will be made for the coming year. We have
several interesting speakers lined up; details as we go along. If you
wish to make contact and join the Bristol Strut there is no better time than
this to find out what's going on! The website has had a few updates
recently, and a couple of new links added. Look at the "More
links" page for these - a link to Airport news archive and "Gremline"
a really useful source of flight safety information. |
 | (15th May 2007) Well, the
strut has held the Spread your Wings event, and although we say it ourselves
it was quite a success! Read the report on the SYW button (welcome
page) and look out for a write-up in Popular Flying in due course. Our
next outing will be a visit to the control tower at Bristol Airport in June,
on the invitation of ATC staff. If you are not currently a member of
Brissle Strut and would like to be involved, download the membership form on
our Profile page and post it to the address given on the form. |
 | (3rd March 2007) The
Strutter page has now been updated with the latest newsletter
appearing. This month's meeting is a bit special as we will welcome
visitors from all over the region to our CAA Safety evening in Room 1 at
BAWA. If you want to come along and need directions, call up the
'Profile' page and click 'Directions'. There will be the usual raffle
prizes provided by the CAA, also a Strut raffle to win a Lockyers farmstrip
guide. Hope to see you there. |
 | (2nd February 2007) On the
last website update we tidied up the welcome page which was looking a bit
scrappy. A new button has been added which links to the 'Spread Your
Wings' application form; this can be printed off and posted to our address
for allocation of a place in the seminar. New on the website is the
February newsletter, which contains a report of Graham's visit to Arizona
last summer. |
 | (5th January 2007) Another new year, and hopes of
some good flying in the coming months. The PFA have several dates set
for the new style 'regional fly-ins' and details are on our parent website www.pfa.org.uk
(click the button on our welcome page). Bristol strut have a program
of speakers taking us through to May - details in the latest Strutter. |
